Temujin Khaghan
If dhawan gets dropped again mid series then it will be the third time he is dropped mid series in an overseas tour after England and Oz. That will be the end of him...in test cricket. If dhawan does well... Good for us too... Link to comment

Plays away from the pad more than he should. He is better than Dhawan but i can see why the team would select Dhawan ahead of him. Everyone can see why Dhawan is ahead of him Link to comment

Dhawan is good batsman and he can easily play ahead of Rahane in India. Link to comment

Firstly , getting bowled is just one mode of dismissal it does not say much about a batsmen's technique good or bad . A lot of batsmen with tight technique get out bowled/lbw . Dravid iirc got out bowled very often . Dosnet defend well ? No true at all , neither does he play away from his body . infact I can hardly think of a dismissal hes been out defending . Very rare . Couple of occasions hes misjudged the line and got out . He does get too often playing shots though , even in tests when he tries to go after the bowling . Today again it wasnt cos of bad defence . if there is a problem its probabaly not leaving the ball as well as he should be doing , can learn that from some one like VJ in the team . Link to comment

coffee_rules
Nair came in place of daredevil hitman and scored 300, and promptly had to vacate when Rohit returned. Dhawan was dropped from the side, came to SL series in place of injured Vijay and when Vijay came back, they are thinking of whom to drop ? This shows the Northie hypocrisy of yarana gharana that Kohli wants to promote. Dhawan needs to sit out unless Vijay/KLR plays horribly in one series and can be replaced. This is common sense.
