If he has a good series (a few more good innings here) and then follows up with a few more good series, he can be considered for a permanent spot.Till then, 1 innings is not gonna change much.

Heard he really played. One shot which i really hate is when an opener tries to late cut the ball to the third man area and GG plays that shot way too much so i reckon he would never be much of a test batsman.

I was one of his crtics and am not ashamed to say that it was a fantastic innings with some breathtaking shots. I never disputed his class, but rather his consistency and more specifically, consistency in converting 20-60 --> 100+
