Hashim Amla's weird record against India

Hashim amla had great tour of India early on in his career and despite getting owned on the last tour he still has an amazing average of 60+ in India

However while playing against India in his home conditions he has absolutely sucked, we have completely and thoroughly returned the favor of him owning us in our conditions by completely owning him in his conditions.  He averages under 30 playing against India at his home

Even the 140 he scored in Centurion 2010 IIRC he was dropped a couple of times early on . I was pissed then because that year he had totally owned us in India scoring 500+ with only 1 dismissal. Otherwise he has been abysmal at home against us. Remember Sunny having a go at his technique in our 2006 tour when Sreesanth kept dismissing him for cheap.

Avg 45.87 with 2 100s. The Amla-ABDV partnership in WACA was one of the ATG counter attacking partnerships and that surface was pretty quick.

A but similar to cook ,who averages million in India but at home his average ain't that good against us

That was a good knock , but all through his career hes struggled against good pacers or on difficult pitches . Even at home I think his record in centurion is much higher compared to other grounds . He knows to cash in on flat pitches and normally gets one big score on every tour to keep his stats decent . 

A very good player , but no where in the league of AB , Smith or Kallis .

Amla is good but he is not all world as people make him out to be.

Well he did play very well in the last test. He changed his game and kind of started following Steve Smith way of playing from the off stump. Very impressive and he focused on maximizing the run scoring. Credit to Kohli and bowlers also that they got him out playing on the leg side. It was a great battle and his knock basically the the match exciting.
