So don't even compare  him with Pandya who is neither batsman nor bowler.

These guys are clueless. I listened to the radio when Kapil debuted and clip at which he was scoring runs in those days was most phenomenal I had seen. he was the leading bowler and stared contributing immensely with bat. pandya has a long way to go.

IF i say kapil is better or hardik is better then other thats comaparsion

 

when i say no one becomes gr8 overnight n takes names like kapil , yuvraj n all ......m not comparsing m asking for patience and when i show their stats it to shows facts that pandya hasnt done bad at all infacts some of his stats are better

 

Now ur the one who is comparing n many who keeps bringing his kapil name- "oh pandya is no kapil so whats the point"

After 6 test , ill take avgs 7 s/r as pandya doesnt get much of overs as he is the 5th bowler n kapil was the no.1 bowler

avg - 54.92

s/r- 92. 62

eco - 3.55

 

Hardik pandya 

avg - 36.71

s/r- 71.14

eco- 3.05 ( in modern day cricket his eco is less then kapil and people call him canon fodder)

At 7 it will be a proper bowler all the time. Umesh over hardik any day or Chahal.

Kapil was the leading wkt taker so many times and scored as much as batsman.

I have watched kapilin in stands and he was beating Zaheer every other delivery. pandya has pace but no where near the wkt taking control that kapil had.

Fair question. Classic definition is batting average is better than bowling average.

The reason many are backing Pandya is because he has the potential to get 5000-6000 runs and 200-250 wkts at the 100 test mark. And most fans would be happy with such a performance  

 

Additionally, your definition ignores points such as whether the all-rounder is playing as the 4th or 5th bowler, fielding dynamics, intangibles such as "never say die attitude"
