Very much possible. Akhtar and lee did that, Tait did that. They were not hitting 160 at 18. Akhtar and lee both both 160 at 26-27. So if someone has hit  149 at 18, it's possible he might hit 160 at his peak. Stack was hitting 144 at 21 and hit 160 at 27. It all depends how he develops. It may happen, may not happen. Like in case of Cummins who was hitting 150 at 17 but hasn't increased his pace like lee, Akhtar, Tait, Starc and mich Johnson did. Even Johnson at his debut was bowling only 137-142. Few years later hit 155k.

 

Look at avesh and khaleel Ahmed. Avesh was bowling 135 in u19 WC, hit 149 in IPL 2 years later. Khaleel who was 130-135 bowler in u19, is now hit 148 kph in SMA trophy. It tells you how good our strength and conditioning has become. Even BK who used to struggle crossing 135 has hit 140-145 at rimes as he became stronger.

U19 World Cup is what i wrote. Besides maybe Ashwin and pandya , most of players in current Indian team have played an important role in U19 Indian campaign so its a pretty good indicator where they are going. If jr tendulkar had even a bit of talent he would have been in the squad. Even the guy being criticized today Pujara was man of series in one of the edition.

He will get in MI Squad at best and will be warming bench most of the time. Thats the best scenario for him.

what is your point Tendulkar is playing India U19 now. he was not playing u19 before because his 2 years got wasted due to injury. how can you play u19 WC if you dont play U19 in domestic. He played U19 domestic and was the highest wicket taker among fast bowlers and after that he got picked for U19 team this tour.
