That being said, India could be a tad bit worried with their premier fast bowler’s form. While newcomer Khaleel Ahmed has stepped up to the plate with the opportunities he’s been given, experts believe it’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s form that is a cause of concern.

While praising the left-arm seamer in his Times of India column, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar wrote, “The only worry still is Bhuvneshwar Kumar and he is looking undercooked at the moment. The more he bowls the better it will be.” His upcoming performances will be crucial for India as they travel to Australia and New Zealand from November onwards.

 

Bhuvneshwar and Jasprit Bumrah have been at the core of India’s pace attack. Their abilities complement each other and in tandem, they form an excellent attack at the death. However, Bhuvi hasn’t been able to back up his Asia Cup performances too well. He went for as many as 70 runs in Pune, while picking up just a single wicket. In Mumbai as well, he was fairly economical, but couldn’t make a telling impact in the wickets column.

The biggest priority of the Indian cricketing fraternity nowadays is to maintain the reputation of the big IPL stars and performers from India, especially if they are from big franchises.

I don't take Indian commentary team seriously they are a joke who are designated cheerleaders Gavaskar has become even more pathetic.
