Aggy was more famous for his length balls which would be cartered around. Bhuvi is also a length ball guy. He doesn't employ yorkers much like he does in the IPL. Yorkers take a lot out of you. Bhuvi's comfort zone is running and bowling around off and middle at a length. He rarely varies a lot upfront. Whatever he does is only in the death overs. But mostly in the IPL rather than at the international. This is why he is hittable, he can be targeted if the batsman has the positive mindset. Only variation he got is knuckle ball. He lacks that extra oomph. He has to start running through sides once in a while to earn respect. Otherwise he will play him off for a while and go after him. The only thing dernbach ever had was decent pace. The problem with bhuvaneshwar is that he blows hot and cold way too often. Just look at the way a highly rated bowler like trent Boult got smashed in Dubai and compare that with the pin point accuracy shown by bhuvi in the Asia cup. Even he doesn't take wickets, he offers a lot of control with the ball as long as his average pace is around 82 mph or above. The problem is that at times , partly due to injury , this drops below that 82 mph mark and that's when he gets hammered like yesterday. An accurate bowler would not have AVG beyond 40 and we more than 5 in past 2 years. Only McGrath was accurate at low pace. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

His pace for first half of his career was around 140 and batsman who faced him says he was quicker than speed guns showed. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

BTW don't go on hype I know McGrath was pact intially but not very quick, Srinath was super quick hack even WC 99 when he was in his fag end of the career bowled faster than McGrath. These English and Australia n bowler automatically become fast once they debut where as bowler like Srinath would always be medium fast. Agarkar never lost pace throughout his career. That fact often gets overlooked because he was wayward. So how much faster is Nagarkotti? UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

He was consistently hitting 145Ks in U19 WC quickest being 149K and he was just 18. His average pace was around 87-88 mph (142kph) that has been the average pace of someone like Mitch Johnson and Mitch Starc. Even Shivam Mavi, same built, probably was the quickest Indian bowler in IPL on average pace at the age of 19. Mosher and Suhaan 1 1 Link to comment
