T20i average is 45.17 at sr 151.47 - Excellent for the format.

ODI average is 35.22 at sr 80.66 - Needs to perform better in this format.

Test average is 37.71 - Needs to perform much better in this format.

team  management policies seem so awkward. Different yard sticks for different players.... Karun Nair just after playing a few inns got dropped.Mayank didn't even get a single game.Manish Pandey  even did not get enough chances he deserved after scoring that match winning 100 in AUS. Shreyas Iyer started so superbly that is required of a beginner, yet is not in the scheme.

 

But on the other side Rahul,Dhawan,Rohit,Pujara,Umesh,Shami,Ishant,Bhuvi  get chances after chances at least in any one format despite them being far from adequate in that particular format. This is incompetency at its very best.

Rahul through his T20 performances has earned himself a few more chances in the format. How many players average 45 and have a SR of 150+. Also helps that the team has been winning the T20s consistently
