Jayant Yadav (captain), RD Gaekwad, Atharva Taide, Ankush Bains, Deepak Hooda, Prab Simran Singh, Nitish Rana, Himmat Singh, Shams Mulani, Ankit Rajpoot, Prasidh Krishna, Siddharth Desai, Mayank Markande, Atith Seth, Shivam Mavi

 

They can pick 4 players above 28 for the squad. Very good to see Ankit Rajpoot and Prasidh Krishna. Could have picked Avesh Khan as well but they have preferred Atit Sheth.  Are these the best players outside India and India A teams? Batting looks a little brittle. There are some current u-19 players - Atharva, Prab Simran and Sid Desai but how come there is  no place for u-19 WC winners Manjot Kalra, Anukul Roy and Abhishek Sharma? Could we have picked Shivam Dubey to give him some exposure?

 

It's also amazing to see how Ankush Bains keeps getting picked despite not being among the top 4-5 keeper batsmen in the country. Is he related to Anurag Thakur?

He's from Himachal Pradesh where Thakur runs the roost.

Porel ought to have been there as well, or Avesh Khan (ahead of Sheth).
