suspect Ashwin probably will do the India home leg post this test series and might call quits.

will be 34 by then and second only to Kumble.

Expect him to add about 100 wickets in the Indian home leg. Should finish test career with 80-85 tests.

Probably with IPL around will aim to be T20 only by then.

Hip and groin injuries tend to become chronic.  Unfair to blame the player for that.  Bowling is such a physical task, you'd think former players would appreciate such basic facts.

I don't like Ashwin much as a character, but he is a gun bowler and deserves to be respected.

Maybe if was fit like Lyon he would not get injured all the time. Phecker is unfit with a sizable gut. Bhajji and Kumble were never this unfit. Warne was stout, but he was mobile. Have you seen Ashwin field and run? :giggle:

Bhai everybody is a different body type.  Maybe you are right, and he initially got the hip/groin problem becasue he was carrying extra weight.  Or maybe that's not the case, and he was simply unlucky.  We don't know.  I lean on the side of giving him the benefit of doubt.

I just feel that bowlers get a hard deal in general in cricket.  They do the most physical work, and are always the ones to be blamed first.

It is possible that the groin injury won’t get better if he improves his fitness now, but he did not help himself by carrying the extra weight. After all he is a professional athlete, you are supposed to stay lean. Cricket is not a contact sport like American football. I was watching videos from his early days and could not believe how much pounds he packs around his gut now.

Ashwin is known to get touchy man, he is sensitive id you have seen earlier. Nothing wrong but I habe noticed it. Sometimes you just got to play along.

Virat was the same too as a kid when he first came and we see in that video where he is cursing some guy in the crowd during IPL game when he was heading up the stairs to the dressing room.

As if now he doesn't curse, oh yea now his biwi cursed people and he make video and upload it on twitter. Dude virat is even more pathetic.
