England LOI conditions are not some minefields or green mambas. They are some of the most batting friendly conditions in the world. Last tour Rohit scored 100s in both T20 and ODI. Teams breach 350-400 easily in most ODIs. Even in CT except for the Pak games, most pitches were super flat. So not sure what cricket you have been watching. Only the ICC CT Trophy Final 2013 (in very same conditions) where on a bowler friendly track your boy Rohit was cleaned bowled without a meaningful contribution. Another irrelevant/unimportant instance in the same conditions vs a good pace attack was the ICC CT Trophy Final 2017 vs Pak where he was out for a duck. Again against the might of the Sri Lankan pace attack, in CT Trophy Semi Final 2013, Rohit struggles in English seamer friendly conditions. Also he is a consistently slow starter, even in batting friendly conditions, this sapps team momentum at the top of the order. http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8037/scorecard/566948/england-vs-india-final-icc-champions-trophy-2013 http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8037/scorecard/1022375/india-vs-pakistan-final-icc-champions-trophy-2017 http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8037/scorecard/566947/india-vs-sri-lanka-2nd-semi-final-icc-champions-trophy-2013 Edited January 29, 2019 by mancalledsting Switchblade 1 Link to comment

Yuvraj was out to a rookie leg spinner and Dhawan’s purple patch ended and Dadu was out to an uncharacteristic lofted shot and Hardik Pandya looked like a million bucks. Yes great proof of concept Link to comment

Yes great proof of concept lol...three games provided there in English conditions in SF/Final phase of ICC major tournament (closest predictor of upcoming World Cup) and in two of them Kohli/Dhawan made match winning contributions whilst Rohit failed in all 3. All this has proven is how blindly in love you are with Rohit. Switchblade 1 Link to comment
mancalledsting
Rohit is only slipping under the radar these days because his issues pale in comparison to MSDs, DKs and Rayudus Switchblade 1 Link to comment

Now you are going to bring in Bangladesh but the same team that smashed Nzl who are supposed to be way superior in “English” conditions. Anyways it is ridiculous to even think of dropping or changing the position of the top 3 LOI batsman in the world today and the best LOI opener in the world. You probably afe thinking Rohit is going to face Steyn/Anderson/ Boult on a green mamba with the red Duke ball. FYI Worldcup is going to be in colored clothing on flat pitches and you have to win the round robin to reach the semis for starters. Stop picking and choosing stats and going around in circles to make a pointless argument. Edited January 29, 2019 by maniac Stan AF 1 Link to comment

I was in the crowd- Rohit struggled for the first three quarters for even that innings. It just didn't cost us because Kohli and Dhawan killed it so hard that Rohit never came under pressure to up his game- instead he was able to take his time and play for a personal score. But if he was batting with DK or Rayudu- or if Kohli/Dhawan flop and we still need to chase a total- then what? http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8037/scorecard/1022373/bangladesh-vs-india-2nd-semi-final-icc-champions-trophy-2017 Edited January 29, 2019 by mancalledsting Switchblade 1 Link to comment
