as of now jadhav is ahead but if the team is looking to fit in pant n playing shankar can solve that equation.

Yea, fitting in Pant is gonna be interesting. He would have to replace Karthik. In which case, Shankar won't have a place unless he takes Rayudu's place which is not a bad idea. TM has to be very flexible.

 

Pant is also not as reliable, he just keeps cowlashing, we need someone who can finish games off which Karthik has done before.

KLR in full form is above Rayudu and Shankar. 

 

Given RAYUDU is not going to be dropped. Its certain to think Shankar will only come in as a replacement if its a seaming wicket. If KLR strikes form he will be backup for Rayudu. Only real possibility is Pant as he is a lefty.

Bcos it's in England I feel spinning all rounder may not be required and that's why shankar is being kept as a replacement for kedar.

Hardik is a genuine all rounder but shankar can bowl max 2 to 4 overs when new batters r batting n trying to settle down without taking chances.kedar could sit on bench.

For me shammi bumrah bhuvi are must hardik could be 4th pacer and one wrist spinner. Shankar could be 6th bowler.
