Dada’s legacy was a first round exit in 2004, 2006 CTs and 2007 WC. Dhoni’s legacy was a semi final in 2015 WC. We were not winning one trophy after another under them either. And both lost home ODI series to Pakistan. Other than bilaterals, is there any ICC or Asia cup tournaments that Kohli has lead us to win? Asia cup in 2014 when he captained India did not even reach finals. Even Rohit won us the Asia cup last time. So, let him win something and then we can talk about Kohli being ahead of other captains who have won World cups, CTs, Asia Cups. Switchblade 1 Link to comment

That will make Dada the worst captain in our history for losing 22 finals! Win % for ODI captains Kohli - 74% Dhoni - 59% Dravid - 56% Dada - 54% Being nearly 25% better statswise than the next guy has to count for something. A lot of that down to his decision of going for Kuldeep and Chahal in last 18 months and obviously raising his own game to a level never seen before in this format. Kohli is poor tactically, does not back young batsmen and has a blind love for Dhoni, which is hurting him more in last 3-4 months. BUT you cannot ignore those stats. As for winning ICC trophies or Asia Cups - Well he has captained in only one such tournament CT 2017 (5 months into his LOI captaincy) where we made the finals. Yet to captain in an Asia Cup as a full time captain but a series win in SA (first in our history) and a series win in Australia and NZ will count above any such Asia cup.
