Early days but with Jadeja bhuvi and kuldeep on a flat pitch u have decent bowlers who can bat add bumrah and pandya and attack can bowl ok add shankar at 4 and jadhav at 5 - u get extra bowling options and batting options its the best we have Link to comment
putrevus
Why didn't Bumrah bat but bowled, so this is all 15 match?? Link to comment
Sandeep99
Suck it up and come to terms that we're not going to win or even reach semifinals this time. We wasted 3 good years after world cup to finalize #4. Now we pay for it.. Link to comment

vvvslaxman
England shows how important batting depth is. Even if we collapse up front against new ball. Late order can make it up somewhat once the pitch flattens out. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
needless run out. But they are still in it with Archer and Rashid to bat Link to comment

Most times at his position he would be required to score 25 or 30 of 10,15 balls,he is not capable of that. Maybe he could be tried out at number 5 purely because of left hander factor but this TM wouldnt want to upset the status quo. Link to comment

U don’t need a Kapil or symmonds modern odi and t20 batting is about cameos - 20 ball 25 may be a match winning score and 100 ball 90 a match loosing Jadeja - if he succeeds it’s a bonus . Look at how the lineup looks with Jadeja at 3- Rohit and Dhawan ( I would have taken Agarwal to World Cup as he is a more solid player . Rohit will be the reason for us loosing this cup though I hate Dhoni now , at least he keeps well ) No 3 cos he plays good aerial shots - they don’t go long but definitely go over infield . He is ur guy to give u impetus no 4 kohli no 5 rahul or karthick ( pant would have been ideal ) or Shankar no 6 Dhoni no 7 Pandya no 8 jadhav 6.7,8 are interchangeable as per match situation Kuldeep kumar/shami bumrah notice that u have good left arm rt arm mix . U get a Jadhav walk in late and he plays all around the wicket Link to comment
vvvslaxman
This is from 2015 world cup. Chasing a meagre 181 total, India was stuttering at 134/6. Thanks to Ashwin at no.8 and Dhoni we pulled that off. There might be similar scenarios we will run into. That is where our tail has to wag. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/656453.html Link to comment
ShebbySB
Our top 7 is settled and Bumrah, Shami, Kuldeep and Chahal are our 4 best bowlers. This makes our tail long and we need someone at 8 who can bat. I'd play BK at 8 because of that. Kuldeep and Chahal are must against non-subcontinental teams. So can't replace any one of them with Jadeja. Link to comment
