The worst bench for an Indian WC team

2019 - Rahul, DK, Shankar, Jadeja, 

2015 - Rayudu, Binnny, Axar Patel, Umesh Yadav

2011 - Raina, Sreesanth, Ashwin, Chawla

2007 - Kumble, DK, Irfan, Sreesanth

2003 - Kumble, Agarkar, Parthiv, Sanjay Bangar

 

The current bench looks as bad as it was in 2015. Unlikely that the first choice 11 will ever get changed through the tournament barring any injury concerns.

 

The 2011 bench was the best, Raina came in for Yusuf and played blinders in QF and SF.

How is binny , axar, rayudu , chawla, parthiv, bangar  better then rahul, dk , jadeja, shankar ......if u think they are well we had the option of selecting vinny, rayudu, axar . 

N how is umesh , raina on bench when they played games in Wcs

Because they played after some matches only. When the tournament started they were not first choice XI players, same as the case most likely with DK, Shankar and Jadeja.

 

Vinny, Rayudu, Axar would have been equally bad, however Pant, Shaw, Gill, Saini would have been far better choices pushing the first choice players if they did not start well.

in the given chances in Odi shankar proved to be much better then pant, gill

They are extremely talented but no one success is a guarantee  and rahul is also one of the best talents in the country

 

1-2 slots will always be debatable but his bench is far from worse specially when in past we had chawla, sreesanth (who was umesh in LOI) , binny, axar, parthiv, bangar

2011 hands down the best, both Raina and Ashwin had major impact in a couple of matches each. Sreesanth OTOH was rubbish. On potential 2007 was solid but we never found out in that short campaign.
