How stupid is it to not replace injured players?

The length and format of tournament gives you the cue. We have some relatively easier games coming up. I don’t think we need any replacement.

 

The grit of Dhawan Bhumrah and Bhuvi should be rewarded. All we need is win next few games with reserve team and the ask these guys to take another shot.

 

Lets not forget 2011, If we would have replaced Yuvi, we wouldn’t have got the trophy

There should be at least 20 players allowed for the WC. It will enable matches to be played sooner and also add unpredictability with the variety coming in for different teams. I think money is the reason it is not allowed.

England can get backups anytime as they are in their home country and any replacement player can easily join the team in a few hours.  Now suppose Shami gets some niggle at the eve of the match who are we going to play then, play with just one specialist pacer and bring in Jaddu?  Dont think hamstring injury will heal at least before two weeks, might take even more.

I was talking about dhawan's injury. Im in favour of asking for bhuvi replacement

we dont even need replacement for Dhawan as Karthik is there.  Seam dept is thin.  we are now carrying just 2 fit specialist pacers.
