They aren’t entirely wrong, except they are nostalgic for the old Dhoni. The old Dhoni can take it deep and win it too. This “OLD” Dhoni can only take it deep.

Well, taking it deep and finishing it off is always risky and doesn't pay off always. Like a hit or miss, cat on the wall type. Similar to a student studying for the exam at the last moment, having not studied the entire semester. It may or may not work.

True. But that is how  Dhoni rolled. He did have a fair bit of success.but He has been figured out, age has caught up, bowlers know to stay out of his zone, the one famous helicopter shot is no where to be seen but unfortunately no one with the power to put an end to this wants to.
