Sooda Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 I was reading an article about possible England opening options and it suggested Dom Sibley as a contender, I looked him up and Cricinfo had a decent profile. Checked to see if say Panchal or Easwaran had a similar write up , and they don't! Think it's generally true that Aussie and Eng fringe / A team player have decent profile write ups, not the case with our guys. Not big deal, just making the point sandeep and express bowling 2
sarcastic Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 The editors found some journalist writing for those players n not ranji heroes.
ShoonyaSifar Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Perhaps this has to do with the wide coverage of County Cricket, which is at a different level compared to our domestic cricket coverage. Barring a few notable exceptions, most journos covering our domestic cricket hardly bother to attend matches. Their reporting is largely based on phone calls with match officials and some local reporters. Things have started to improve in the last few years but there’s long way to go. nevada 1
rahulrulezz Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 It’s other way around. Canadian cricketers provide their own profile and photos to cricinfo point of contact in Canada. I wouldn’t be surprised if county players send their own photos and profile to cricinfos point of contact in UK Cricketics and nevada 2
