Most Pakistanis think that Ahmadiyyas don't have a right to call themselves muslim, because they believed their leader was another prophet. Hardline Sunnis murder Shias because they are not the right kind of muslims, and so on. Sad to see similar brainless logic reflected in India when folks use "anti-national" and other such trash to attack people for not being Indian or patriotic enough, simply because they disagree with them. velu and Zero_Unit

This is the problem with Abrahamic religions. They all predict a final prophet and have never accepted a final prophet actually arriving. The Jews have the final prophet who they call masihah. From it the English word messiah derived from, meaning ‘ the saviour’. Well Christians say that’s Jesus but Jews go ‘ nope’. Now christians themselves have a final prophet....which the Mormon founder claims to be and Christians go ‘nope’. Same with Muslims- they claim they too will get a final prophet, which the Ahmaddiya guy claims to be and predictably enough, they go ‘nope’. Also so a bit disingenuous of your to compare people being yelled at for not being nationalistic enough vs ethnic murders of Shias and Sunnis. Sure one is "not as bad" as the other, but the illogic driving both acts is identical. And deserves to be identified and called out as such. The idea that you can bully people based on their choice of words, or decision to sit or stand for national anthem, is illogical. Its the same mindset that justifies attacking Ahmadis for daring to call their place of worship Mosques. A demand to conform to a self-adjudicated mainstream 'norm' at the expense of destroying individual citizen rights enshrined in the Indian constitution. Plenty of examples of Pakistani-style bullying behavior in the name of criticizing/attacking "anti-national" abounds.

Sure. That idea is illogical. However calling out those who want to give visas to Pakistani actors and musicians as antinational is justified. The concept of anti nationalism is valid and obviously some examples will satisfy the parameter and some won’t. 25 minutes ago, sandeep said: Its the same mindset that justifies attacking Ahmadis for daring to call their place of worship Mosques. As long as the difference between the 2 is acknowledged, and guarded against with proper awareness. Muloghonto
