Also, Nz doesn't have a proper test match spinner. Atleast Eng had Leach, Moeen and Root. 

I think Root is a better test spinner than anyone in NZ

Patel is better than Root and Moeen, although not the same caliber as Leach or Maharaj

First of all he is a SLAO, Indians are most comfortable against his kind of bowlers. 

Remember how Maharaj got  destroyed. 

Even santner is slao.

those pitches maharaj played on were pretty flat and moreover our batting was in top form. Leach took 18 wkts in 4 tests at an avg of 28 or so, and he is the same bowling style.

Once rashid khan said how diffiicult he found gripping SG coz he was so used to kookabura
