He's bowling one or two peaches every over but the other four balls are good but not threatening

Kohli is not in a form slump. Kohli batting trajectory is on a spiraling downward slope, he is finished. Thats it. BCCI will keep him.

 

Rahane has played his last Test and last appearance for India. Goodbye, Farewell and Amen. This will be the fallout from this series. So its a positive.

 

India will need to groom a fast left handed swing bowler asap.

 

India needs a new mystery spinner.

 

I can see Gill, Hitman, KL and possibly even Iyer in the next Test team. Those 4 players who are all batsmen will not have been inflicted with the scars from this NZ tour.

 

Possibly Test Team for Australia may look like this:

 

Shaw

Mayank

Pujara

Kohli

Gill

Hitman

KL (If KL keeps in the test series, it will significantly improve the batting lineup. But at what cost with his wicketkeeping?)

Left arm pace bowler

Ishant

Bumrah hardly uses yorker length balls here. Best option in these conditions for him

Pant is lovely as the keeper esp with his diving around (only positive so far in Ind bowling) .... good to watch 

 

as I said, should have come in at 4. At 89/6, too tough a situation for him esp. since he likes to play freely

We might not get bundled out consistently for under 200 but their batting is a lot stronger too. Plus their bowling line up is incredible
