Didn’t get the credit he deserved’: Shaun Pollock names one Indian in his list of best fast bowlers across generations

In the podcast for Sky Sports, only one Indian pacer made it to their discussion and that was former India pacer Javagal Srinath. Pollock termed him as someone who didn’t get the due credit he deserved.

was lucky to see few test matches in which Allan DONald , Venkatest Prasad, srinath and lace klusener bowled.

 

srinath was faster than donald and donald used to crank it up some times and bowl as fast as srinath for one or 2 balls. even klusener was fast but only a few balls were genuinely fast.

venky was a FLOATER Medium Pacer...when i have used the word floater, he used to float the ball and get batsman to PLay, he also used some tricks which offered him a bit of INSWING and with his tricks and his height , also when the batsman found srinath much tougher to play, they attacked Venky and thats how venky got few wickets.  Venky is a very soft kind of a guy( i have met him at airport and spoken to him)..if u meet him , you will find him intelligent , clever and has all characteristics a Spinner may want to have. he is VERY INTELLIGENT ..kinda plans a lot - that was the reason as to why he could play for INDIA. other wise the Pace at which he bowled( 110 to 130K ) , he was definitely worth an INDIA bowler even during those days.
