Bumrah's spell has not been about just bounce.

But a combination of pace, bounce, zip, line, length, seam movement both ways and planned set up balls and follow up deliveries.

No doubt had all of those . This pitch has more bounce today and bit of movement too . The ball to Stonis was a good length , still had very good bounce .

Two distinct things noticed today in his spell.

1. Little less speed but moving the balls beautifully .

2. Coupled with bounce

took me to that spell in WI  in a test match where  he made the ball talk with pace similar to what he bowled today .

Looks dangerous every ball when  he can move it like that .

What I really appreciate about Bumrah is that he is increasing his skill-set and knows when to use which skill at which time. He can read the conditions so well.

He can hit the deck really hard  at 142 k to 150 k on a flat surface .... or can concentrate on moving the ball at 137 k to 145 k, if a lot of movement is on offer ... or can bowl indipping yorkers at 145 k + at will.

And he is setting up batsmen so well.

Bumrah is becoming such a complete fast bowler.

Bumrah is an exception ,straightening is not that easy from that angle ,even roach is good at it .

here are the comparisons of the release points from over the wicket

tyagi

rabada

bumrah

Tyagi's release point is similar to rabada than bumrah.Rabada is closer to the stumps but tyagi is not falling away in his action as much as rabada, so his arm is not going too far away .

This picture is not representative of all deliveries by Bumrah.

no picture will be representative of all his deliveries ,but that's where he generally bowls from over the wicket.

It varies based on how the pitch / conditions are and what he is trying to do.

But Bumrah uses the angle in and either seam away or remain straight ... quite a lot.

Bumrah looks like has lateral flexion, may trouble him in future

sandeep sharma 2/13 in 3 overs ,one of the best pacers in ipl :bolt:

he actuall has very similar ipl stats to bumrah

Bumrah: 89 matches 102 wickets @24.78  E:7.51

Sandeep: 88 matches 103 wickets @24.67 E:7.77

of course they bowl at different stages of game. But sandeep is hella underrated in ipl
