Yes ... replicating a good and effective ball is the key to success for fast bowlers. I was happy to see Tyagi try the same effective yorker ball after ball today in the 2 death overs he bowled. Now, if he can develop an effective good length ball directed around the top of off stump ... he will be good to go. Mosher 1

express bowling Posted October 30, 2020 Author Posted October 30, 2020 (edited) A few things I would like young Tyagi to do 1) In the death overs, keep bowling 5 to 6 yorkers per over, like he did today. He is great at this. Please don't change this. 2) Practice bowling his top of the off stump directed stock ball a lot more. Hit the deck hard with this ball and get bounce and seam movement from time to time. 3) Practice bowling round the wicket to left handers. This will cut down on the angle and not give the left handers any room. 4) Practice coming closer to the stumps while bowling. Edited October 30, 2020 by express bowling Mosher 1

But this older video shows that he is used bowling a good attacking line and length. Not too full and not too short and a nice off stump line.

Pacers who bowl wide of the stumps can angle the ball into the right handers ... and if they can make the ball straighten from there while targeting the off stump to 4th stump, batters are forced to play and can edge easily. Bumrah does it to both right handers and left handers from either side of the wicket. Another advantage is that the edges go to either the keeper or the first slip and more slips are not needed.
