There seems to be some issue with Kartik's loading. Bowling hand doesn't seem stiff and coming down too quickly. Stiffness is very important once you are off your impulse stride if you want to generate pace.

Tyagi is nippy, but not genuine pace. He has a very similar frame like Saini, and he does look athletic enough to bowl quicker. The intent has to be there,

He is just 19-20. Bumrah was slower at his age.

I didnt say he cant get quicker. I said he is not genuine pace currently.

In our history since speed guns, only Mavi-koti bowled genuine pace at this age. Even they have not done in this IPL. Ishant did too for a brief period.

Tyagi is bowling around 3 deliveries per over at 139 k to 143 k so far in his very first match after such a long break. And 1 delivery is a slower.

Not bad for a teenage debutant.

Plus he is hitting the deck hard and getting consistent bounce.

The key is whether he wants to bowl fast. He can go the Bumrah way and bowl 140 k to 150 k in a couple of years or he can go the Khaleel way and use Bhaiyaji as his idol and become medium pace. It all depends on what he wants as @Rightarmfast said earlier.

No one can do much with wet ball. So that's not excuse anyway. Neither we can blame bowlers for bowling bad with wet ball. No matter what grip you try, it won't dry up the ball. Ball will slip. I laugh at people blaming bowlers for bowling poorly with wet ball. This is the biggest flaw in cricket that conditions can dictate the game so much. Dont think in any other game conditions can favor one team so much.

So how were other bowlers bowling better with the wet ball that evening ?  Siraj showed good control.

How come Saini himself has bowled better with the wet ball earlier in the tournament  ?

More and more practice always improve people. No matter how challenging things are.
