Franco Vazquez Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 I mean you guys would know that I am an international student who can't cook or anything and live in an accommodation with a small room. I went back to Pakistan before the last lockdown but I just returned from Pakistan thinking the situation in the UK would be better now but it seems we are heading for another lockdown now. So another lockdown will mean that I wont be able to eat food properly and might even get malnourished and you know how goras start hoarding during panic buying so it really is a messed up situation so my question is that if lockdown actually helps or not? Like the cases will increase again once to restrictions are lifted so what is the point of it?
cric_fan Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Who said you won’t be able to eat? UK has system called takeaway.

Takeaways would be closed as well most likely bc they are bringing in work from home thing again and when restaurants are not making any money, how would they send in the staff?
BacktoCricaddict Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 It may not reduce the eventual total number of cases, but it slows down the spread some (flattens the curve). This eases the pressure on hospitals.
