Playing Pappu will let them play Ali in the middle order as well. I don't think Finch will be dropped mainly because Hesson rates him highly. He is struggling against swing early on. With Pappu as opener, Finch can play at 4 with Rat and ABD as buffers above and below. Also means that ABD won't have to keep. Except ABD, they don't have power hitters in the middle order. Finch is also good vs spin. He could play at 4. Also, Pappu is an experienced pro who can guide DevD while opening. ABD won't be burdened with keeping either. Not sure if it's just bcoz of CSK or Kohli batting masterclass, but bewdas put in a very good team performance today. After all he is GUN player and captaining AUS and has it in him to make that little adjustment needed to survive initial 3-4 overs. But in last 2 innings ,mind did not seem to be there .
