But, unions don't want to hear and only asking to repeal. Foolish. Source for the godowns? You know 17 states have contract farming legally. How do we know it was not part of that. Plus building godowns is good, so FCI can lease those and reduce the rotting of grains in their godowns Repeal is not going to happen and I know it too. But for you to think these rich people don't know what is going on is pretty foolish too.

ravishingravi Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 I would urge everyone to watch the three videos by SG on farms bill. It further unravels the farce that this protest. You know how many of farmers go for msp in India. Less than 6 %. You know when was the highest msp payout 2019.

Some wonderful world you live in. Yes, 15% of rich zamindars are looting the country and not even sparing their wealth with the rest 85% in Ph. They sell to APMCs and no farm income is taxable in India! Subsidies and no taxes for rich farmers. That's why 60% of India's labor workforce is in agriculture. And the red revolution in the land that gave green revolution supports the fattening of such Holy cows (zamindars) .

I understand there are some who dont pay taxes but the issue is not directed at them.

All are evidence based (not fake news) - there has been inflammatory speeches in these rallies by prominent Punjabis mocking Hindu women. Jassi B, Hard kaur, and scores of Punjabi singers home and abroad have been Khalistani sympathizers, and flags were seen in these rallies. regarding zamindars, read this article in full. https://counterview.org/2019/05/20/punjab-larger-the-farm-size-more-is-the-per-capita-consumption-expenditure-on-non-durable-items/ If you are busy just look at one graph: Quote The above analysis shows that an average sampled farm household earns Rs 2,91,798.19 per annum in rural Punjab. It is evident that as the farm size increases, there is also an increase in the average income of the farm households. The farm business income is the most important component of household income, followed by income from milk & milk products and salaries. In absolute terms, these sources of income have shown a similar pattern across the different farm-size categories except the large farm-size category. In the large farmsize category, farm business income is the most important component of household income, followed by income from leased out land and milk & milk products. Yes it has been. Now the trust is lost so they want written assurance. Just another matter of fact there is no farmer who even gets the MSP. It far below the govt. price also. I understand that govt. does not have endless supply of money but this needs to be done in judicious manner. I also know farmers need to understand these laws will not be rolled back. They have to work with PM and the PM needs to show some compassion here.

Probably lot more otherwise govt. would be doing nothing.
