Agree. Wish Saini had played this game.

And we would have got a comparitive look at the 3 candidates for the 3rd fast bowler's slot.

If Saini is to play, he needs all the practice he can get before the 1st test. Is there one more practice game before the 1st test match?

Yes bro.

Hope Bumrah and Shami are rested for that too. They need to be fresh for the test matches.

We should play Saini, Umesh and Siraj and see where they stand.

I have a feeling, he will do well this time. He has shown flashes of brilliance even in previous tours much like Ishant used to even in his bad series. Let’s not go by T20 performances. Cummins,Bumrah and Rabada were also getting smashed in IPL and Umesh.

Also Umesh was one of the highest wicket takers in the 2015 wc.

I see no reason for him of doing well, pace isnt same and bouncer is weak . Control is same old **** , add to that smith and marnus

Umesh has bowled well in the practice game so far but he has played enough games in Australia and it's a fact that he is a poor bowler overseas. If TM has any brain they will pick Saini/Siraj for the 1st test.

he did decent in NZ practice game also last time but same old story in test , another problem of his pressure. HE bowled like a freak in that CT 2013 practice game againt aus and few more pratice games but the minute its a real game he is trying way to much

I think Bowling lineup will be fairly strong in that Pink ball warm up game.  Maybe one among Shami & Bumrah my pick will be Bumrah as he has not played pink ball test vs BD.

Tbh Aussies are also looking to test their bowling line up in that 3 day Pink ball game.  Langer was hinting at that.

India would be near full strength I think.  Aussies would be as well barring Starc.
