Sanskrit influence on Chinsese language

Ancient China was unofficially assumed to be a part of Indian civilization.

I've read accounts on India from Greek historians like Herodotus and Ctesias of Cnidus, they've described India as a land beyond which 'no humans lived', also 'the world ended beyond India', indirectly implying that India formed easternmost part of the known world back then. There was no mention of China in works of Herodotus.

Interesting isn't it? The definition of 'India' has changed over the time, during Mughal era Afghans/Pakistanis/Bangladeshis were considered 'Indian'. One wonders how world actually was then.

P.S.: Another interesting fact, Fa Hien described Indian food and clothing as exactly same as that of mainland China!
