Sunny ji rightly used word "Topee-paltu" for Indian fans who were criticizing Pujara..Nothing wrong in questioning Pujara for his approach, he seems unable to rotate strike often but calling him LOSER and Selfish is laughable and moronic. That guy batted out almost 64 overs combined and got out to good balls is what we need in test cricket.

His Slow batting had nothing to do with how others batted. This is how he has batted all his life.

Yup! And he hit that 123 v Aus at Adelaide in 2018 to give Ind the lead

In tests, ideally, a batsman should (esp. if he is test material) not be impacted by how the guy at the other end is doing. There is no RRR pressure as well and the idea is to bat out sessions, play for the day, give first hour to the bowlers, etc.

this coming from #1 SDP fan :hatsoff:

Probably, my favorite Ind test batsmen are Sehwag and Pujara for different reasons .... SDP has potential in tests too

I’m hoping for Rahane to win toss and bat first in Brisbane... let’s see what he does... I’ll be watching you guys if your reactions on that day...

Most probably he’ll quickly get out as he can play for draw by batting first... And let other try to win the match...

Otherwise I’ll happy to eat crow... till then I’ll keep the crew in my freezer...

I am more interested to see what that hack rohit does in Brisbane, he somehow escaped an embarrassment in nzl by injury ,let's see if he can escape Brisbane :giggle:

there is no hater as such..... This is what he is expected to do  with  lot lot more frequency. On this occasion he did it to almost precision. 'Almost' , because India still would have comfortably lost had it not for Ashwin-Vihari  combo along with some luck. Still, from an over all scheme of things , he has been  far from adequate  . Same with Rahane,

but he did his role at Melbourne. Hope both of them    perform with much more consistancy moving forward.
