Bumrah reverse swung the ball both ways with the older SG ball. Got big swing often enough.

 

This usually happens after 15 overs or so.

I think the pitch condition was the issue.

 

The pitch was much more true in the first 5 sessions and England benefited from this.

 

In the 2nd innings even Root was having big issues against Bumrah. Apart from the dismissal, there was another LBW appeal against him and he almost edged 2 away going balls by Boom.

I still think The biggest impact Bumrah actually had in Aus was that Steve Smith wicket in Melbourne bowling him around his legs..he singlehandedly broke Australias resistance then and there.. 

 

Issue with Bumrah is we are in such a situation that because of the first test we now have to win at least 2 ..so for the day night test he is a sureshot.. now the issue is the next test which is from Saturday.. too much bowling might lead to strain

If we have to rest Bumrah in the 2nd test then we have to prepare a rank turner and play this team.

Batting till 10  ... 4 spinners ... quite a few batsmen who can score fast, as it is not easy to bat for long on a rank turner

Pink ball he can be rested- Bhuvi n ishant wud be good with Pink ball and so wud be siraj n thakur

Bhuvi can't be risked in a test match yet.

 

Has not played any FC matches in a long long time.

 

Moreover, there are certain phases of pink ball tests which require extra pace. Remember the bouncers by Shami and Umesh against BD.
