- Pant had a1000 run FC season in 2017, hit a 300,

- Hit the fastest T20 100 by an Indian

- Scored almost 700 runs@SR of 170 in IPL 2018

- Won India A the series in England in 2018

 

They picked him, realised he was an immediate danger to Dhoni, derailed him.before 2019 WC, did not pick him, the got him back, and then post the WI series dropped him.

 

Forget all this, joker Kohli preferred Saha ahead of Pant in the 1st test in Australia. Nothing else needs to be said.

he was given an unusually long rope in fact. not as long as ishant, but still pretty long. our man management skills are very poor these days.
