Umran paired with Bumrah and Prasidh will be a mouth watering bowling lineup in Auzzie conditions.

One out an out pacer who can bowl 150k.
One all phase pacer who can hurl yorkers and seam up deliveries at 145k.
One tall pacer, who can break the ribs of a batsman with his awkward bounce at 142k.

These 3 can cause havoc at the WACA and Gabba.

Bumrah, Prasidh and Umran can an amazing combination in test matches if Umran is allowed to gain some FC experience.

They can be quite effective in ODIs too, if one among Pradidh and Umran can better his death bowling.

The combination can be really lethal. Add to that Hardik if he can bowl.

Bumrah, Prasidh, Umran and Hardik will be too hot to handle outside Asia, in tests and ODIs.

Out of  7 remaining they would need 2 batting  ARs then, that will be good

Tests outside Asia ( future ) ....

6. Pant

7. Hardik ... bowling too.

8. Jadeja

9. Bumrah

10. Umran ( when Umran is FC ready and Shami is gone )

11. Prasidh

Siraj will be rotated too.

Very deep batting till 8 .... 4 proper quick bowlers .... 1 spinner

Prasidh isn't a good t20i bowler, will get carted in Aus, this isn't a test match where people are relying on bounce, seam etc.

Umran is good but raw, can take a chance with him definitely but he is not some Jeff Thomson or Michael Holding which some people are hyping him up to be, he has a bad economy in IPL and in international cricket the standards are pretty damn high.

Bumrah is good but out of form so our bowling lineup is still looking very ordinary.

Express bowlers have no utility in Nz and Eng, can help in Aus and Sa though but that is after 2 years pf domestic.

Because of the role that I assigned him in the 11 based on team composition.

IMHO Prasidh has the most dangerous good length and back of a length off stump / channel balls in India, especially on bouncy or zippy tracks ( like the ones we may find in most places in Australia  )

With 2 good death bowlers in my side ( Bumrah and Harshal )  I want the best possible wicket taking option in PP for Australian conditions. And that maybe Prasidh unless things go differently from now on.

Prasidh can seam the ball both ways and gets outswing too with the new ball ... and does this with both steep bounce and pace. He has troubled almost all batsmen with his off stump or channel balls and short balls unless it's the death overs.

Yes, he is not a good death bowler yet but those wide yorkers were because of the field that Samson set. 4 fielders on the off and almost no protection on the leg means a pacer can't bowl on the stumps.

Okay, EB. I agree that two pacers have shown the promise of good-length (or back of length) bounce so far: Khaleel & Prasidh.

Personally, I prefer Khaleel because he seems more aggressive, instinctive and mentally stronger. Beside, he is a left-arm bowler.

As of yesterday, these are the stats of PP bowling, sorted by Str. Rate. Khaleel has a superior strike rate as well as economy. But let's wait till the end of IPL to form some kind of conclusive opinion.

We have Siraj as well, who is a 135-140 k pacer (Test match pace) who can swing the ball.
Anyway, Shami and Umesh will most probably retire in 2-3 years. So the potential replacements (Umran, Prasidh,Tyagi, Kuldeep etc) need to be groomed accordingly.

I believe playing domestic cricket is very important  before actually getting into the test side unless you are a Wasim Akram level prodigy which Umran is not.

So as of now my test pace attack in SENA would be :

1. Bumrah

2. Siraj

3. Shami / Prasidh

4. Thakur / Pandya (if he wants to play test cricket)

Reserves - Umesh, Avesh.

West Indies won series after series in England, often 5 -0, using a combination of express bowlers and bouncy fast bowlers. Apart from Marshall, none of the others could be termed as swing bowlers either.

Even Australia have done wonderfully in NZ and well in England using a combination of bounce bowlers snd express bowlers.

Umran is being played in FC .. he has played a game for India A too ... hopefully will be ready after he plays a dozen FC games or maybe some more.

That's the present  ... which we are all seeing. That discussion was about the future when Shami is gone or loses ability. According to his wife, his real age is 36 and if that the case, he won't last long.

Only issue which I see with the upcoming bowlers, is they all are dud with the bat. Which means we can't play 4 of them, and hence have to adjust 1 semi-allrounder type.
Except Hangargekar, I don't see anyone close to even Umesh's ability in terms of batting.

Faheem is a bowling A/R.  He is a strict swing/seam bowler.   Comparison of Umesh with these jokers is laughable.  Umesh has more than a few ATG match winning spells in Asia.  In fact after Shami he's our greatest pacer in Asian conditions.

Only Shaheen could perhaps repeat similar feats in time but even that is doubtful.

True, a second string Indian attack of Umesh, bhuvi, saini, prasidh would outbowl Paks main attack 10 out of 10 times. Just a single victory t20 victory over and all of a sudden Paks attack is "muh superior, talented, faster etc' even after loosing at home in a flat bed against Aussies Paks still flying high, there is this poster in pakpassion, sultan his name, the guy is so butthurt seeing umran, Sen bowl 145kph, his theory is that India's pacers are workman type who flourish together but not out and out world class, ridiculous take because all of bumrah, shami, Siraj and Umesh have spearheaded the attack on occasion and have done terrific , all of them are world class and would flourish without the support of the other bowlers. Umesh has proved it at home, siraj did it in Australia, shami led the attack at home in 2016, bumrah can lead in any condition.  2016-2019 shami, Umesh were express.

Indian attack of 2015-2022 and still going is the greatest Asian pace attack of all time. Sooner they accept the better otherwise they will give themselves a heart attack.

Rofl at workmanlike.

Bumrah capable of 140-150 even if he wants to. Consistently 140 plus.

Shami is now 135-145. Used to be faster. He is old now.

Even ishu was fast toll 2020. He was bowling between 137-145 consistently.

Umesh has always been fast.

Siraj is the slowest of them 5 and even he can be quick when he wants. Watch the spell vs new zeland on patta pitch.

Siraj is 133-142 ish.

Prasidh is quick too. 136-145 easy.

Umran even in ranji bowled 140 plus. 140-150 in A tour game.

Easily one of the quickest attacks in the world. Workmanlike hahahha. *ing inbred. Maybe his mum slept with cousins too often and gave birth to a crowded head dimwit.

Best Asian attack of all time.

Best Asian bowler? Even there bumrah is better than anything pakistan has produced barring wasim. I respect only wasim he is a true legend. Great bowler.

Waqar is trash vs any good side. Phattu bowler salah.

Shoaib is a bitch that got scared of any good batsman that took him on. I like him but he is wildly overrated. Shami is better.

Shamj also better than Waqar.

I dont know a out umran khan Taliban. Me dad reckons he was great but that lowda was a cheater so.....

Bumrah if he continues in this vein, he can overtake wasim. Right now he is already number 2.

Unlike most I am not biased. I look at ability. I don't give a flying * about longevity. Big game performances and ability matters way more. Rather be best of all time than greatest.

Yeah we need to phase Shami out and that's why I wrote Prasidh's name along with him.

Prasidh can replace Shami in our test squad, which makes our pace attack :

Bumrah

Siraj

Prasidh

Thakur/Pandya.

All of them have age on their side, so all of them are not only our present but also our future.

Avesh and Umesh can be our reserves.

Bhai, Pakistani's are delusional to the core...you can't expect sanity from an uneducated isolated society who are fed with propaganda's 24*7.
For them, Pakistani space agency SUPERCO is superior that NASA, it's just that the world has done "saazishein" against them.
The thought of "Pakistan mein talent bahut hai" comes from such mentality only.
