I don't think his new action is allowing him to bowl yorkers at will.
His hand movement in the load and then during the release seems at times lagging, which he compensates by releasing the bowl early.
Probably back of length is what works for him...yorkers are inaccurate.
More overs are needed...as last 2-3 games weren't as good.

Today his yorkers were decent but he got hit because he provided width with his length balls

I think he should be played in odis or try playing list A seriously and target A side selection and as usual few Good outings there may open national doors for him

CWC in SA ,he should be seriously eying that, who knows

Yeah, decent but not killer.
With decent yorkers, he need to have a success rate of 80-90% percent in terms of yorkers.
I want to see him hurl a 150kph yorker hitting either flooring the batter or send the stumps cartwheeling. That will create the psychological impact where even 50% of his yorkers will keep the batters on toes.
At his pace, he should try to bully the batters, hit them on their helmets and body. Specially, considering this was the last game and next he's not gonna play for next 2-3 months till August.

Tyagi is having issues with his ball release rather frequently.

Till the time he rectifies this, he won't get the benefit of his high release speeds consistently.

Even his length / back of a length balls are sometimes dragged wide without zip off the deck or bounce.

At some point excuses for Tyagi need to stop. The biggest problem is not his action or speed or other skills. It's his mental strength and decision making. He decides to bowl slower deliveries, and poor ones at that, after 2 decent deliveries. He bowls a decent delivery and then follows up with an utter rubbish short & wide delivery. And he implodes mentally when batters go after him bowling full tosses and no-balls (high full-tosses). That's been a consistent theme this IPL and not just today.

He performs when there's no pressure. As soon as pressure is there he goes to pieces. He's a poor man's Mohd Sami - the Pak pacer who used to bowl 150+ but had no brains and used to be hammered. At the moment no captain can trust Tyagi. He can't bowl in PP overs as batters will go hard against him and he hasn't shown he can bowl at the death bowling full tosses and no-balls when batters attack. He's a pacer who has to be handled like a spinner and bowl between overs 7 and 15. Plus he can't bat and isn't a great fielder as well. You can't pick such a player.

His best format should be Tests as there's no pressure of batters going against him. Let him play Ranji and List A and see if he improves with practice. But at the moment way too unreliable and hittable.

First time Tyagi has played full IPL without getting injured.Thats very positive thing for him as he is always injury prone from his U 19 days.

He should shift from UP to other state, where they need a pacer who plays in all formats, through out the season.

He will improve only if he has bowl on all kind of pitches.

He should work on his strength and should focus more on his bouncer and should work on his Yorkers.

He should try to bowl according to plan and should not try to bowl 6 different balls in a over.

He should try to develop a stock ball ,ie ball outside the office stump .

Far better than Bharibojh types, one full season in domestics and he will be sorted

He has been sidelined because of injuries,at some.point people need to come out of their prejudice and think rationally

By that logic we will loose almost all of our pacers,Mayank ,Ashok ,Tyagi all will be gone

That will happen in domestic cricket
