Select your Pre-IPL T20 WC squad of 22-23 members

Select ur pre ipl squad and we will do this excersice post IPL as well. You can compare ur pre- post IPL teams. Since ICC has allowed 22-23 member squad , u shud select these many numbers of players. So try to cover all bases.

10. Ravi jadeja / rahul tewatia ( never been entirely convinced of jaddu in t20, he has improved but still lets see )

16. Saini 

17. Shami ( another guy who has improved in t20 but lets see if it continous ) 

18. Ravi ashwin 

19. Rahul chahar 

20. Chahal  ( subject to form , i like him as a bowler but he doesnt give any other value )

21. DK 

22. Varun.C ( will definately see how this season goes for him in IPL ) 

23. Samson ( he is mostly in there as a backup top 3 and a great subsistute fielder)

 

This wud mostly be my squad unless there is some X factor player who burst upon on the scene this IPL. 

 

Can consider -  Shaw n kuldeep are 2  X- factor players but lets see their form. Prasidh another guy only if he can consistently do well for KKR and own his spot, so he needs to have a good season. Guys like saini, chahar, nattu owned a spot and showed their skill to make a case in Indian side. 

 

Dhawan, mayank , manish pandey - unless they bat like abdv or else no way. Dhawan even if he bats like yuvraj singh at his peak still wud be a big no, seen his contrast batting performance in t20i and ipl enough times.

Max 22 players allowed by ICC.

 

I believe most team will pick 20 players. No point picking 22 players for a 6 match tournament ( if team reach Final).

I'm worried about this 22 member squad, its alright if some youngsters are there as backups but you can pretty much be sure that Kohli will find a way to sneak in Dhawan, DK etc

Dude you have guys like Krunal, Saini, Sundar and Chahar bros as your sure shot picks, yet doubt proven match winners like Jadeja and Shami. And yes I am talking about T20s. Comeon!

u surely cant talk about t20 n say shami n jaddu are match winners or have done well.  Im serious u shud differentiate between t20 n other formats.
