It’s all about upbringing. If you grow up respecting your surroundings and have some sense of pride in your belonging, you wouldn’t be a sell-out when you go out. Yes, there are a lot of things bad about India, just because you you came out and made friends and living it up, doesn’t mean , you have turned into a local. Your skin color is still what they see . 15 saal jo bita diya , it doesn’t become we and you Indians. No first gen will teach their kids second gen to think they are superior than anybody back home. This thread is comedy gold.

This was not always the case. E.g. despite winning 1983 WC, Kapil lost captaincy after 1987 WC SF loss and never got it back. Kohli has lost 3 important final/semifinals matches and there are still no questions asked about his captaincy.

I am not "living it up", we have worked hard we gave up a lot to start a new life in a country that cares about it's citizens.

I see this among older Australian immigrats, I remember mulo speaking about how Australia in olden times was just not up to speed with the west in terms of their society accepting diversity, may be this is stolkholm syndrome among the few very low self esteem older gen immigrants from India who often felt little tiny weak in front of their aussie neighbours mentally and physically and accepted it in their own inferiority complexes without the tools to know how primitive aussies could be at times, new gen who got there don't seem to be afflicted as they are better educated and more Confident l. 

 

Don't want to do a psyc analysis on this one as I would rather this guy pays for it in Aus and gets some inferior Aus service.
