Bad advice

She says keep water outside in the sunlight and super-charge it with Vitamin-D!! Bad science. As  water is sourced in lakes and reservoirs are  usually soaking in the sun. It should be having loads of vitamin Ds if it can take it!!

Actually, the Vit D in sunlight-soaked water is in an inactive form.  You can activate it by sending positive emotions to it.

It's not just a term. It's a real thing. It applies to a good number of climate activists well as anti-vaxx "scientists" like Jay Bhattacharya, Robert Malone, Malarkey and Ivermectin Peddler, who are all unwilling to change their pet conclusions based on good evidence to the contrary.

To a significant extent, it also applies to guys like Fauci and Baric with regard to Covid origins.  While the origins are inconclusive (and will likely remain so), there is enough evidence to elevate the lab origins hypothesis to the same probability of occurrence as the "nature" origin hypothesis. But it doesn't fit the narrative of some of these guys - so much so that it took moving heaven and earth to get them to even acknowledge the possibility in light of new evidence.

It also bears mentioning that Dr. Vandana Shiva is referred to often as an activist scientist. That is half-correct.

The seeds of Vandana Shiva, watch it !

It must be acknowledged that

(a) timely action on NOx and SOx pollution was required and taken, directly resulting in drastically  better rain water.

(b) Same thing with CFC ban directly helping to save the ozone layer.

Not all environmental alarmisms are created equal. Some are actually necessary.

Can you share some information on acid rain and ozone layer depletion? I am not hearing about them anymore and I suspect they have been repackaged as global climate change

Not all environmental problems are created equal. Some are worse than others.

Depletion of the ozone layer and acid rain are completely separate from climate change.

There is enough solid evidence that (a) the ozone layer is important for keeping UV rays at bay, (b) CFCs from air conditioner coolants and aerosol sprays were depleting the Ozone layer, and (c) phasing CFCs out has resulted in significant improvements. So, action was necessary and taken, so you don't hear much about it any more.

Same thing with acid rain. Decreasing sulfur oxides (SOx) and Nitrogen oxide (NOx) pollution has had a significant effect on decreasing the acidity of rainwater in the US.

The problem with Anthropogenic climate change is not that it does not exist (it does). But (a) attributing every environmental problem and adverse weather event in the world to climate change and making doomsday predictions without scientific evidence and (b) rejecting high-quality tech solutions like nuclear all go to show that the climate change movement is led by misguided activists who misrepresent the science.

If anyone is challenging depletion of Ozone layer has already made up his mind. No use discussing anything with them. There is a word for them called Flat earther.

1980's and 1990's were everted by changing the refrigerants.

Ice caps are depleting and earth is 1 C higher. Glaciers are melting in Himalaya's and dams are not designed to handle that much water. But you do have the option to bury your head in sand.
