At 33 Tendulkar had played 132 tests with 35 centuries. I think Kohli if played 4-5 more years can still score 60 ODI 100s. Need 17 more. 40 test hundreds, need 13 more. It's difficult but not impossible. We need more good pitches in India. They are doing serious injustice to our batsmen by making rank turners, pitches where ball is turning from ball one. 

 

Series in which Indian team prepared turners - SA series 2015, Aus series 2017 (not all matches) and this England series. Apart from those series all matches were on good batting surfaces.

 

India lost match on flat track in England series and with WTC on line, they didn't trust batsmen probably. We can call it injustice, but batsmen aren't doing any favors either by struggling against spinners.

 

This team has averaged less than 40 only 4 series since 2012. (Total 16 home series)

Our batting wasn't that good most of the 90s. We didn't have a single good opener. We tried even Mongia. 

 

The problem currently is our spinners start struggling whenever they can't extract lot of help from the pitch. The depend so much on rank Turners. England scored close to 600 runs. Most of the time, team will lose if opposition scored 600 runs in the first innings.

The 90s pitch were way more batting friendly, India's batting was very weak in 90s at home compared to current team where every player is a masssive HTB.

This argument doesn't really make sense. Just bcoz they didn't averaged higher doesn't mean they played on tougher pitches, it's just that they weren't good enough.

17 100s in ODIs and 13 in Tests. I doubt if he will even make 20% of this, especially in tests

20% means 3 100s in tests. Once his drought ends, he will again start scoring plenty.

Also fast bowlers used to get more wickets for opposition. They barely had spinners.
