Watching the ongoing Test made me thinking about when was the last time any team chased a huge target against India and I couldn't recall even a single instance in my time of watching Cricket for the last 25 Years. So had to check the record on Cricinfo..

So as the record shows 350+ has never been chased against India in Test Cricket. If England chase the current target, it will be the Highest record chase ever.

Infact, Indian record is so impressive as they haven't allowed any team to chase 250+ in the last 30 years. The only instance I recall is the match at Wellington where NZ chased down 215 , that is 1998 and no team has bettered that record against India since that time .

yes, that is true. But SA should have easily won in 2013/14 chasing 450+ - they panicked and settled for a draw.

Moreover, you are seeing history in the making. The "great" Eng lineup of burns bhai, hameed bhai, ali bhai, Root Bhai, bairstow bhai, and pope bhai will show the team how it is done

VC Rahane killed them with his run outs in that innings.

I recall one such chase. It was Sept 6, 2021 - a neophyte Eng team missing Archer, Broad, and Stokes cantered to a 4 wkt win against the much-fancied ATG Indian attack which was ground into the dust by the opening duo of Hameed and Burns, followed by a busy innings from Malan and Bairstow, while the incandescent Captain Root led from the front and hammered a 150-ball 120. [obviously meant to be taken as a joke, although it's a strong possibility]
