The Toss- What's the point?

Invariably in these conditions the side that bats first looses, especially in day/night matches. The team or composition hardly matters unless there is a vast disparity in talent. WTF is the point? It's dumb to play in these Day/Night conditions.

I have not seen matches today but I think toss will play a crucial role even in day matches. In general even in franchise cricket, teams enjoy the prospect of chasing in T20s.

In day games, batting first is an advantage usually as the pitch slows down later

There has been no evidence of that so far, wickets have been even for full 20 overs

In the qualifying rounds they were doing better batting first, but you also have to say some associate teams are below our state level teams so the matchup between them was very ordinary or lopsided.

Teams losing the toss should be given an option to just concede the march without playing. Because what's the point?
