3. India prays for Bermuda to beat Bangladesh but does not happen

In 2021

1. India looses to Pakistan
2. India looses to New Zealand
3. India wins over other minnows including Afghanistan

3. India prays for Afghanistan to beat New Zealand but does not happen

In both cases, India crashes out of this round.


Now the epilogue:
In 2007
India tours to Bangladesh for an bilateral ODI series immediately after the WC and wins it
In 2021
India plays NZ in a bilateral T20I series immediately after the WT20 (and wins it?).

Let's see if that last similarity holds.

Pak upfirst who we normally beat. Even with a schedule good for us we made a mess!!!!!!!!!

2007 WC exit was planned and executed by a power hungry clueless coach, who was a known failure with all teams he coached.

 

2021 WC exit has been masterminded by a power hungry clueless captain, who has been a known failure as a captain. 

 

2007 loss at least ushered in an era where we won 3 ICC Trophies in the next 6 years. Let's see what unfolds after 2021 exit.
