Whatever we may call it, it’s still the national level dominance, good from dhawan, some years back, it seemed he had lost his mojo as an all-rounder, but what a comeback this season, taking wickets, making crucia runs.. very very accomplished for indian conditions, too bad he is already 32..

Typically players reach their peak at 30. Probably At 31 he touched his form? :) He is the captain. I think it is possible he improved somewhat over the years. He has sub 30 average in all formats with ball. List A batting average 38 at 93 which is not terrible for someone like him.

From whatever i have seen he is a bang average player. But once in a while these guys put up performance like this through sheer experience.  Look at Unadkat, he is  a certified domestic bully. It even made me wonder whether Unadkat would have been a better Test bowler. Picked up 67 wickets last season. Having said that it is very hard to predict who will handled the transition better. Sometimes someone with very poor record do better at the international level. Some do the opposite.

it was good to see sundar get some runs under belt. he was bowling well, but did not have many runs. SRK and Prerak both scored useful cameos - these are useful lower-order batters to keep an eye on. Sakariya got a 5-fer but looked unconvincing.

Sharukh 42 in 21 balls. Amazing finishing skills. Uncluttered hitting like Yusuf pathan. Sharukh/Shardul/Sundar will be a nice combo down the order for us.
