Yup. He gets lots of unnecessary stick. Every spinner gets hit. He's still our most consistent white ball spinner. But doesn't help that he's completely useless with the bat and in fielding. 

 

One dimensional players specially bowlers have to be lot more dependable to make it. In 3rd ODI v SA,Chahal never looked like chasing 10 off 3 overs.

 

You can't have total liability players which Chahal is on his bad days.And his bad days are getting more frequent

 

Ofcourse on IPL level hes still fairly consistent.
