These are good signs from team-management. In my opinion, Risabh must be full-time vice captain in all formats ahead of KL Rahul.

Risabh Pant should be groomed to be the next captain of team India (especially for test format).

Pant was promoted for one match. 

Thats not a good move at all. 

It would have been a positive move if he insisted with him for two three matches. 

 

Secondly, who would be the vice captain in Rahul's absence  apart from Pant?

Add to it, i expect Dravid contributing in 2 areas  which is very critical in the long run - 

1.  Plan out a solution to batting woes of some of the young batsmen and a better approach to batting than boom & bust. ( Hope rathore is assigned only for throw downs to tailenders !)

2. No buddy circle selection by kaptaans match after match.

Its just another dumb move by the BCCI/TM to not have Pant as permanent VC.

 

He needs to be groomed under Hitman, so if and when he takes over its a smooth transition.

LOL! Not sending Rahul to open was the good move I was talking about. Pant at 4 is alright.
