^ A bigger matter of enquiry is how Ruturaj also jumped ahead of Shaw after the IPL performance where he scores lot of runs but scored at a nothing special strike rate of 130 odd. Shaw was basically the 6th opener at one point in that race for Indian t20 team, behind Rohit, Kohli, Rahul Ruturaj and Kishan.

i cant take a lot of ICF seriously because of lack of objective analysis by simply watching a player play.Ishan Kishan has always been a hack even during his under 19 days.even in T20 cricket you might have initial success buts hacks get found out eventually.

That was all down to the 2 or so t20s he played against England which was more a comment on how fed up of the previous incumbents everyone was rather than how good Kishan actually is. With the 16cr price tag on his head now people are more willing to judge him much more harshly instead of only seeing him as a young player which they did previously.
