I would rest SKY to test the true merit of the rest of the batting unit

Ind should look beyond Pant in t20, its already too late. He has played more than 60 matches, a good sample size to determine his quality in t20s- Has a Sr of 125 and average of 22, thats poor after 60+ matches.He kills the momentum of the team

 

His game is not suited for T20s, those lofted shots may go for a 2/3 bounce boundary in Test but in T20s those are simple catches in deep. 

He also lacks Off-side play as does Kishan. Pant has never been able to accelerate quickly and when ever he has tried he gets hold out to simple catches.

 

Have not seen much of Jitesh Sharma-Punjab Kings but looks like he knows how to bat lower down the order ad can be tried as a Finisher. As Pandya being projected as captain he won't be playing high-risk game, Ind should look to plug that issue before it gets too late,

IMO, time to put the Pant T20 experiment on the back-burner and replace it with Samson in NZ.
My ideal T20 side playing the Kiwis would also figure Chahar and Shardul who can hold their own with the bat + swing .

Like it or not, T20 can be a bits and pieces game.

But they won't want to disrupt the rhythm of SKY. He is in a flow.  He is already 32. He is in prime of his form. They will give him as many outings as possible.
