Lord Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Whos gonna do the Wickut taking brah ... ? :hmmm: we can still play 4 bowlers.Irfan should 5th bowler.its a better option than Raina n Rohit completing 10 overs n also bowling for someone who gets thrashed
Needforspeed Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 The problem with Pathan is that he is good for only first 3 or 4 overs when he is fresh and the ball is hard. After that he starts bowling at 115-120 Ks 'hit me' balls. He definitely should not be bowling in the last 10 overs. But then ...all our bowlers are crap in the last 10 overs.
King Tendulkar Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 Get rid of this fully tried and tested joker. We know his bowling is pathetic. But the myth of his batting goes on. Not an all rounder but bits and pieces player who is pants at bowling and batting!! Disgrace seeing him back in team

Disgrace seeing him back in team fully agree, incredible how many people keep getting fooled by him. he must have the same set of photos that vinny koomar blackmails srikant with to get into the team.
1983-2011 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 3.5 Pathan to Dilshan, 2 runs, 81.2 mph, Dropped The shot wasn't too pretty either, full and wide, Dilshan threw everything at it, Sehwag cupped his hands above his head at first slip and the ball deflected past the keeper and down to fine leg, it came on much quicker than expected
The Outsider Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 where were you in the last match? :giggle: Sharing the faulty internet connection with Serani - England and their internet problems. Or maybe laptop got stolen. :dontknow:
Ultimate_Game Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Before we kick out Pathan for good, as some people are suggesting, le me ask whether we have any options available? We have tried Koomars, Umesh, Dinda etc. and the results have been more or less the same. As someone pointed out that since the CB seies Pathan has actually out-performed the so called specialist fast bowlers. If that's the case why not persist with him as he can contribute with the bat as well, at least until someone comes along who is good enough to deserve a spot in the team. Just saying "Pathan is not good" or calling him "crapthan" isn't gonna make others match-winners for us. I would rather have Irfan in the team than Jadeja or Yusuf.

You just have to leave them out and pick the rest. :cantstop:

goggi Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 And to think people were mocking me when I questioned how this mediocre (at best) player got in as a replacement for Vinay Kumar. The selection to replace Vinay followed no logic. "oh no, you don't get it, you see Irfan is an all rounder, he can get us some runs and bowl with swing" :hysterical: To be fair Irfan overachieved with 6 runs, that's quite alot for a pathetic all-rounder. Irfan Pathan is hopeless as he has ever been since his umpteenth comeback. Never understand how crap like Irfan keep getting so many comeback opportunities in a nation of 1 billion! We are not New Zealand for crying out loud. Some real depressing issues with man management of Indian cricket. Oh did I forget to mention, Irfan Pathan is hopeless player and not good enough for international cricket. :winky:
