Other than cricket where we seem to find new ways to embarrass ourselves, Indian sports did really well this year - especially Badminton and Athletics. The Commonwealth games were amazing for the track and field events (esp the 1-2 in the Long Jump and Avinash Sable winning silver in the steeplechase) with the crowing glory being the Thomas Cup win and Neeraj Chopra winning the gold in the Diamond League and Silver at the World Championships.

TT was a bit of a letdown. Wrestling did amazing in the CWG (not a great indicator though) and Weightlifting was awesome (Chanu is injured though which is a big concern for the upcoming events atm). Boxing was so-so.

Big year coming up for Indian athletes with the upcoming Asian Games followed closely by the Paris Olympics. Here's hoping to a great 2023 as well for Indian sports.

The day we produce 100 m sprinters men and women, Olympics medalists' level, and not just 1 or 2, but almost like an assembly line given our population, would be the day my sports dream for India would be complete and i would die peacefully...

Not medals, I will be happy even if we have  one contingent/team in each of 100m 200m 400m, relays finals

Right....i am talking about the ultimate ...individual event is way more glamourous in my opinion..... THE most glamorous event of the Olympics, more glamourous than even football FIFA World Cup , plus the title of being the fastest men/women in the world...purane saare paap(under- achievements) dhul jaenge ek bar mein if it happens.
