IIRC bharatha has an avg of around 48 in India A FC matches, and has opened for his ranji team. man needs more chances before being dismissed outright.

There was a lot on here that disliked Pant and I was always a Pant fan from the start.

Bharat has not really done too much wrong, sure if there was someone better than play him. Kishan's recent form in white ball cricket, suggests he may struggle in slow low turners and its not as if he is a superior keeper either.

I would only play Kishan, if its a batting road. If we make it to the WTC, Kishan may be the better option in England and needs a game to see where he is at.

Now the pressure is coming from all sides. I will be very surprised if they play him. This got escalated rapidly.

The true mental disintegration of Australia will take place if we win the toss and bat first and bat Australia entirely out of the game in the 3rd Test if we bat long, bat deep and score a big first innings total.

They will completely fold and roll over and lose, regardless of how flat the wicket is.

bharat is the superior keeper by far, and his batting is around saha level (i.e., decent)

I am not convinced with bharat but I did see ishu take out Jansen in SA tour with relative ease. So did sarfraz.

Hope to be proven wrong regarding bharat but with the limited chances he has been given, he hasn't impressed me.

If Kishan was destroying opposition with his batting, I would definitely play him, but he isnt. I agree I think Bharat looks ok from what I have seen.

Its nothing special. We have been spoilt since Dhoni, as Pant followed straight after. It was inevitable we would have a wicket keeper that was Ok nothing great.

too big a gap between 2nd and 3rd Test

should have been on today

Don't know which collection of idiots came up with this schedule.  They start New Year test 2 days after boxing day Test. why do they wait for weather to get even hotter.

We had so much momentum, that this long break really gives Australia a chance to refresh from the mental torture of Ash and Jaddu.

Its funny you say this because many Indians do struggle with the weather in Australia, our heat is a very very dry heat.

I think one of the reasons Aussies struggle in India due to climate, is because its a variety of issues all at the same time, the smell, the humidity, the  general noise and sound at the ground, the smog and you combine the heat with this and its no wonder Aussies suffer over there.

I've always found aus quite tolerable, even when I visited in peak summer (i.e., winter in northern hemisphere)

Hopefully a few grenades land on the Indore pitch in the next few days, I would love a slow low turner for Indore. Then a batting road for the 4th test.

Might as well torture the tourists, now that the BGT is retained by us again.

Starc & Green ready for indore & Ahm'd test

Holy crap. Well they got Lyon and kunehmann whatever. Murphy is tired of carrying Oz all by himself.

Lyon is more Dangerous for us if Australia bats first.

True. Oz team is very good. Just that India in Asia and bouncy conditions are too good.

And this is without Pant bumrah for example. Some of the better players aren't even playing. We are carrying 3 passengers.

In swing conditions it will be interesting. We have never faced oz in England. We both drew 2 -2 in England.

Hope we can win toss for once in ko. Should change our rotten luck.

I dont think it's possible to do a 5 0 vs Oz.

So I am hoping we win 3 - 1 and break to hoodoo in the final.

We thrashed nz 4-1 in bilaterals before 2019 wc in their home. Yet we lost the semis albeit in a rain affected 2 day game.

We need to win something. We deserve to. Will we? Not sure. Swing conditions is a weakness for our batsmen.

Hope we win the toss and then post a big score first up. High time the Indian batting lineup comes to the party.
